Alpha Omega’s Omega Men for Homeless Men (OMFHM) program is in its seventh year of providing uplift and support to the homeless in our community. OMFHM volunteers meet with program participants the first Monday of each month to provide a nutritious meal and discuss different topics related to coping with and overcoming the realities of homelessness.
Also, during football season, OMFHM volunteers host the homeless for every Washington NFL team 1:00 p.m. Sunday football game for food and fellowship.
Volunteers are needed at all OMFHM sessions to participate in panel discussions, prepare, serve, and clean-up after meals, and simply fellowship with program participants. If you haven’t already, come give it a try – you’re likely to receive as much UPLIFT as you give
In addition, please bring any excess or purchased toiletry items you have to all chapter meetings and deposit them in the purple AQ Soap Box always located at the front of the meeting room. Toiletry donations are also collected at all OMFHM fellowship sessions. All donations are provided to those in need.
OMFHM provides uplift to 40-60 homeless men each session.
