Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

For over a 100 years, Alpha Omega Chapter has had a distinguished history in Washington, D.C. Alpha Omega’s members have won national recognition for their ambitious programs and reclamation efforts, and the chapter has been home to most of the founders, including Founder Edgar A. Love, as well as to contemporary international and district officers.

Alpha Omega Social Action & Scholarship Foundation

The Alpha Omega Social Action and Scholarship Foundation (AOSASF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established by Alpha Omega Chapter in 1991. The Foundation is the charitable arm through which the Chapter funds its scholarship, mentoring, food distribution, and health initiatives in Washington, D.C.

Since its founding, AOSASF has awarded more than $300,000 in college scholarships to graduating seniors from Washington, D.C. high schools, and has served thousands of families through its community programs.

What the Foundation Funds

Annual Scholarship Program

The Foundation's flagship program. Each May, AOSASF awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Washington, D.C. bound for colleges and universities across the country.

Talent Hunt

Mentoring

Academic, social, and life-skills mentoring for young Black men in Washington, D.C., aimed at closing the achievement gap and supporting sound lifelong decision-making.

Food and Clothing Distribution

In partnership with Alpha Omega Chapter and District agencies, the Foundation provides food and clothing to families throughout the year, serving over 2,000 families annually.

Health Initiative

Health screening and health promotion programming coordinated with the D.C. Department of Health, focused on HIV/AIDS, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
