Request for Proposal

I. INTRODUCTION:

For 100 years, Alpha Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. has had a distinguished history in Washington, DC. Founded in 1922, the chapter has been the second largest and largest chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in terms of membership. Alpha Omega’s members have won national recognition for their ambitious programs and reclamation efforts, the chapter has been home to most of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s founders, as well as to contemporary Omega Psi Phi Fraternity national officers.

II. OVERVIEW:

The Alpha Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is seeking licensed financial/investment advisors to facilitate its investment goals and financial plans for long term development. Alpha Omega is requesting proposals from advisors that will (1) manage and (2) provide financial options for building strength and structure to its $25,000 capital pool for long term growth, capital preservation, and income. The risk profile of Alpha Omega is moderate with a target benchmark return of no less than 6% on investment. This should be accomplished through the selection and management of high-quality and diverse investment products.

III. ELIGIBLE INVESTMENTS:

Alpha Omega is open to all widely used investments that are either regulated by the SEC or federally insured. 

IV. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

List of Required Documentation

Company Overview – Offerors shall describe their company/organization including Size; Office locations; Services offered; professional licenses held and; Amount of funds under management.

Work Plan(s) – Offerors shall describe clearly and specifically their proposals for carrying out the services stated in Section II of this RFP.

Prior Experience and Qualifications – Offerors shall describe their prior experience and qualifications with respect to their knowledge and experience for the tasks required to carry out he services stated in Section II of this RFP.

Fees – Offeror’s proposal shall contain an itemized fee schedule for services to be provided by Offeror to Alpha Omega Clearance and/or Brokerage Firms – Offeror shall identify any clearance and/or brokerage firms that will be utilized in carrying out the services stated in Section II of this RFP. Client Service Agreement – Offeror shall provide a sample of their client service agreement.

Interview Availability – Offeror shall provide their availability to participate in a 15–20 minute interview on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. 

V. SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES:

  • Deadline for submission of proposals:              July 24, 2022 
  • Offeror interview:                                            August 3, 2022 
  • Selection approved by Alpha Omega:        September 17, 2022 

VI. TIMING/DEADLINES FOR SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS:

The times stated in this Request for Proposals refer to Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The closing date for proposals is no later than 5:00 p.m. EDT on July 24, 2022.

IX. TERMINATION

 

Alpha Omega reserves the right to terminate any agreement entered into as a result of this RFP provided written notice has been provided to the selected firm at least thirty (30) days prior to such proposed termination date. The selected firm may terminate upon sixty (60) days’ notice to Alpha Omega. At contract termination the firm must cooperate fully with Alpha Omega and the new contracted firm, as applicable, to enable a smooth transition. 

 

X. COMPLIANCE

The selected firm must comply with all local, State, and federal laws, rule, and regulations applicable to the engagement and to services performed there under. 

 

XI. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This RFP does not bind or otherwise commit Alpha Omega to enter a contract or to pay any cost incurred in the preparation of a proposal in response to this request. 

Alpha Omega reserves the right to disqualify at its sole discretion any offeror who submits a proposal that is not responsive or that demonstrates less than such understanding. 

Alpha Omega reserves the right to cancel or modify this RFP in whole or in part. 

Alpha Omega reserves the right to request additional written data, information, oral discussion, or presentations in support of any written proposal or portion thereof which is deemed necessary to clarify any aspect of a proposal. 

The successful Offeror will be chosen based on the Proposal Evaluation and Interview Performance (if applicable). 

Alpha Omega reserves the right to interview any, all, or none of the respondents at its discretion. 

Alpha Omega shall not be liable for any expenses associated with the preparation of Offeror’s proposal.
