You are cordially invited to join Alpha Omega Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., as they celebrate the centennial of its founding on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Marriott Marquis Hotel (pictured above) located at 901 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.
Chartered during the fall of 1922, Alpha Omega has a rich history of achievements as a chapter and amongst its members over the past 100 years. “It is important to pause, reflect and celebrate the accomplishments and impact our chapter and Brothers have had on the city of Washington, D.C., the nation, the world, and our beloved fraternity,” stated Alpha Omega Basileus Brother Lucius Dalton.
During its history, Alpha Omega has been the second largest and largest chapter in the fraternity in terms of membership. Alpha Omega’s members have won international recognition for their ambitious achievements, and the chapter has served as the home to most of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.’s founders, including Bishop Edgar Amos Love, Professor Frank Coleman, and Dr. Ernest Everett Just, as well as to contemporary national officers including the current 1st Vice Grand Basileus Mark E. Jackson, former Grand Keeper of Records and Seal Robert Fairchild, former Grand Keeper of Finance Kenneth Brown, and former Undergraduate/Intermediate Representative on the Supreme Council Larry Brown. The chapter was also the home of the first National Executive Secretary, H. Carl Moultrie I, and Grand Basileus Lawrence A. Oxley (14th GB, 1932-1935); and Grand Basileus Campbell C. Johnson (18th GB, 1945-1947).

COMMEMORATIVE SOUVENIR JOURNAL
A momentous occasion is on the horizon as we bring preparations for the Alpha Omega Chapter Centennial Celebration to the home stretch.
Brothers and patrons can help celebrate this occasion by purchasing an ad in the Alpha Omega Chapter souvenir journal, commemorating chapter’s 100th anniversary.
“The Centennial Celebration Souvenir Journal is a showcase of the chapter, its members, friends and supporters,” stated Brother Elgin Funches, Souvenir Journal Subcommittee Chair.
“We encourage everyone associated with a Brother of this chapter to accept our invitation to embrace this opportunity to be an active part of this historic moment by acknowledging your support of our beloved chapter and fraternity,” Brother Funches continued. “This will be the only time in our lifetime that we can make such a gesture. The messages we leave will exist in the annals of history.”
“We need your support to make this effort far reaching and memorable. We feel that you will want to take advantage of this opportunity and support our chapter by purchasing an ad or place a congratulatory message,” Brother Funches added. “Your contributions will help to defray expenses and allow for additional funding to support the chapter’s scholarship initiatives, mentoring programs, and other ongoing community outreach efforts.”
All ads must be camera ready and deadline is October 7
Brothers can be listed in the journal as a life member for $10 and/or a legacy member for $20. Brothers can also be listed in the journal for years of Omega service for $10. Patrons (non Brothers and all others) can be listed for $10.

Q2: If I already purchased tickets at the $250 price, can I apply the difference of my $250 ticket purchase to additional purchases (now that ticket cost has been reduced to $150)?
Yes. You can apply the difference of the $250 to additional seats/tables. To do so, send an email to Brother Nate Hunter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q3: What if I already purchased tickets at $250 but would like a refund for the difference?
The ticketing system we use does not provide a feature for refund, but your refund will come from a check from the Alpha Omega Social Action and Scholarship Foundation. It is a time-consuming process that the chapter would prefer doing as a batch after the event, as time and energy are currently focused on making the centennial banquet a success. If you would like a refund prior to that, send an email to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org with your mailing address and we will take the time to execute your refund as soon as possible.

We have negotiated a room cost of $229 per night, plus tax.

$90 of each individual ticket is considered tax deductible. Please consult your tax adviser to ensure you are in compliance with all applicable IRS regulations when completing your tax returns. Alpha Omega Social Action & Scholarship Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt corporation, Federal Tax ID #52-1741766.
